Elusive Daydreams, and Lyrical Images
Designs available for licensing.

The images below, from my North Carolina Wildflower series, were inspired by a visit with a neighbor of mine, Ms Gladys.  She was a naturalist and a retired schoolteacher in her eighties, who enjoyed finding wildflowers wherever they grew and transplanting them into her yard.  The background on each of these designs is white, so that it can be replaced electronically.

As a way of introduction, here is a little background on Ev Wesson, of Blue Heron Art Studio
Like many artists, Ev has been drawing and painting since she was a little girl.  Her favorite things include art, kids and nature.  Her work is authentic, reflecting her surroundings and experiences.  She paints a wide variety of subjects in a multi-media style that has been described as fresh, colorful, lyrical and a bit nostalgic.
After receiving her BFA from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and completing studies at The Cocoran Art Gallery while there, Ev continued to hone her skills in illustration and design.  She taught Art Enrichment classes at The Firehouse Art Center in Norman, Oklahoma, and The Pullen Art Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as through her home studio.
When not creating, Ev enjoys boating on beautiful Lake Gaston, in North Carolina where she lives, traveling and going on adventures with her husband, visiting her daughter and her daughter's family, as well as friends.
She also has a "fur baby," named Sophie, who may be found curled up sleeping in her nice bed, near Ev in the studio.
More of Ev's work, as seen on various products, may be viewed at
